I have over 30 years experience working with people of all ages in health and social care settings. As an occupational therapist for 25 years, I frequently worked alongside people coming to terms with disability and loss, helping them to adjust to the varied physical, emotional, psychological and social challenges in their lives.
For 15 years I was a member of Rowcroft Hospice Bereavement Support Team and I have a special interest working with people experiencing bereavement and life limiting illness.
From 2005 - 2009 I worked as a counsellor for Devon Partnership NHS Trust in the provision of short term counselling in GP surgeries in Torbay.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Iron Mill Institute Exeter (BACP Accredited); Certificate in Counselling Children and Adolescents (Iron Mill Institute); Certificate in Counselling (Iron Mill Institute). I am a BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist and registered on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
